From the G-SHOCK line of rugged watcheswhich has continued to evolve in pursuit of unrelenting durability since its launch in 1983comes a model featuring a design motif inspired by the popular works of Katsushika Hokusai, a ukiyo-e artist who flourished during the Edo period and is widely known both in Japan and abroad. The design draws from Under the Mannen Bridge in Fukagawa, one of Hokusais masterpieces from his Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji series.

The base model is the iconic classic digital DW-5600, featuring a bold design of Under the Fukagawa Mannen Bridge on the dial. When the LED backlight illuminates, it blends seamlessly with the dial to express the curved beauty of the Fukagawa Mannen Bridge. The word Japan is engraved in kanji on the case back.
Furthermore, in homage to ukiyo-e, which originated in Japan, we have taken special care to ensure the watch is Made in Japan.
To appeal to a global audience, the packaging has also been carefully designed with special specifications.
